Because I have had to place my focus elsewhere for the past year or so, I have not been regularly publishing essays in Etena Sacca-vajjena.  After too long of an hiatus, I believe that I can now return to my writing.

As I return to blogging, my focus will remain on educational issues which I will primarily address through the lens of the Brahma Viharas:  loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity.  However, there will be times—such as in the essay that will be published tomorrow—where one or more of these viharas will not be the focus.  I also plan to address contemporary social issues through the lens of skills important to the Liberal Arts; especially in terms of critical thinking and research methodology.

During the past few months, I have appreciated the inquires I have received from individuals who wanted to make sure that I was OK or to tell me that they missed my perspective—even when they disagreed with it.

I look forward to again writing on a regular basis.
