Results of Faculty Evaluation
After they have completed their probation, Schoolcraft College faculty members receive a formal evaluation once every five years. I was evaluated during the 2006-2007 academic year.
After I completed my evaluation packet, I posted it on-line.
Last week, I received the administrator and colleague reviews of that packet as well as copies of my student evaluations. The results of the evaluation has also been posted.
While reviewing the results of the evaluation, I also wrote a series of three blog entries:
- Change Isn’t Always an Appropriate
Response to Student Criticisms
Posted on June 17, 2007 - Publishing Faculty Evaluations
Posted on June 16, 2007 - Reacting to Student Evaluations
Posted on June 15, 2007
I intend to continue reflecting on the formal evaluation as well as on other issues I identify and that my students discuss with me.
