On 7 April 1948, the World Health Organization was established by the United Nation. It is the first specialized agency of the United Nations where every member subscribed. The League of Nations was formed after WWI for the main reason of maintaining peace and to prevent another world war from ever occurring. It was formed after the Geneva Convention as an added way to keep Germany and other countries under check as well. As time progressed, the League grew and started to create new branches that were designed to provide help to countries in the thought that it would lower the amount of variables that could cause a war. One of those being the League of Nation’s Health Organization.

Due to the disagreements about how to handle Germany and the Central powers, and not wanting to be dragged into another world war, the US never joined the League of Nations. It left Great Britain and France, the most powerful countries at the time, in charge. The issue was that Britain and France did not want to physically assert themselves into issues that arose. So the League would verbally insult them and those countries would leave.
