On 17 October 1933, one of the most famous physicists in the world moved to America from his birthplace in Nazi Germany. That man was Albert Einstein.

When Hitler became a German citizen in 1932, the German-Jewish scientist decided to stand up against the Nazi regime and left for the United States with his family and secretary in tow.
