On 25 September 1789, the United States of America passed ten important amendments now known as the Bill of Rights.

After the republic fell and the empire began to rise, the senate remained standing. It didn’t hold as much power, but was still needed. One of its functions was to elect a new emperor if the current one was assassinated.
